Career choice
To truly determine your interests and ambitions, it may be advisable to take a career choice test.
The Career Zone career choice test assesses the extent to which the traits of People-Oriented (Me), Conventional (Co), Artistic (Ar), Entrepreneurial (On), Investigative (Oz), and Practical (Pr) apply to you.
Everyone possesses some of each of these traits, but the trait you possess most strongly determines your professional personality. This section then provides a list of personality profiles and corresponding careers.
- Take the Career test.
- At the end of the test, you will be asked to fill in some information. You can skip this if you prefer not to. You will still receive the test results.
- Read the report carefully so that you know how to interpret the results.
- Save your test results (PDF) in your Career Planning folder for easy access.
- Review your results. Are they recognizable? What stands out?
- Record the results (the personal profiles and corresponding professions) in your Career Planning workbook. Indicate whether the personal profiles are recognizable to you or not.
- What are some development tips from the career choice test, and how would you like to use them in the coming year?
- Reflect on which types of professions suit you best (see your test results) and why, and mention this in the workbook.
