Career coaching for Students and Alumni

Career coaching for Students and Alumni

As you approach the end of your studies, you may find yourself asking the question more often, or talking about it with friends or classmates: what are you going to do after your studies? Whatever sector, roles or subjects you are interested in: it is smart to already orientate on your future position in the labour market.

You can make use of a professional coach at the faculty’s expense. A unique opportunity, as career coaching can normally be quite costly!

Let’s get started!

Career coaching programme

Do you want answers to your questions and do you want to delve deeper into everything after your studies? Sign up now for an individual career coaching program from Career Service. During 3 sessions of 1,5 to 2 hours you will gain insight into:

  • Who am I?
  • What can I do?
  • What do I want?
  • How will I achieve this?

Your coach supports you to find answers to the above questions through tests and exercises. At the end of the programme you will have a more concrete picture and a clear overview of possible jobs.

Testimonials

  • Daniek, who did the master's in Crisis and Security Management: 'I signed up for coaching to learn more about the job field. The offer is overwhelming and with coaching I hoped to get a better idea of my qualities and how I find my way in the job market. Thanks to coaching, I have discovered that there is a big difference between substantive and process work. I find this a valuable insight and will take it with me in my job search. If you do not yet know what you want to do after your studies, career coaching is very useful because it gives direction. In a creative way you look at your competencies, eventual dream job and the possibilities. I am a lot more confident, have more vision of the future and a focused plan because of the career coaching. I would recommend it to anyone!’

And others said:

  • Student bachelor Security Studies: 'Just do it. Its always helpful and helps understanding yourself better and what you want.'
  • Student LUC: 'It is an informal conversation about where your career could take you, regardless of whether you already have clear goals or not.'
  • Student MPA: 'I think it is very useful for figuring out your professional skills and how to translate your interests and values to a job.'
