Political Science (NL)

The new National and International Politics degree programme will start in 2026–2027. Within the Bachelor’s programme in Political Science, students can choose from two tracks: National and International Politics (NL) and International Relations and Organisations (NG). For the time being, information about the current Bachelor’s programme in Political Science can still be found on these pages.

After the Bachelor’s degree
You can start working straight away after completing your Bachelor’s degree. You may decide to stop studying for good, or you may wish to take a break from your studies with a view to undertaking a Master’s programme at a later stage.

University Bachelor’s graduates have a different profile to those from universities of applied sciences. In addition to knowledge and experience, university Bachelor’s graduates have acquired many academic skills, whilst graduates from universities of applied sciences possess more practical skills.

Master’s programmes
Employers currently indicate that they are particularly interested in graduates with a completed master’s degree and a clear profile. Most students therefore choose to pursue a master’s programme after completing their bachelor’s degree.
